OUR ADVICE: While not one of our
favorite tours, it has a rock bottom price for
those on a budget, and allows you to see some
of the nice spots south of Puerto Vallarta in
only half a day. There is
a lot of shopping on this tour...husbands beware!
If you don't like shopping, we recommend you
choose a different tour.
There is some overlap with the Paradise
Escape
tour, so we don't recommend booking both in
the same vacation.

CITY AND SHOPPING TOUR
You´ll get to see the city & its surroundings
where you’ll spend 5 unforgettable hours during
your visit to Puerto Vallarta!
After being picked up at your hotel & joining
the group, the first stop is in the downtown
area & main church in El Pitillal, a funky little
town just north of Vallarta where a lot of the
locals live and shop. We continue on to
Puerto Vallarta’s centro, where we’ll
visit the main points of interest such as
El Palacio Municipal (City Hall), the main
plaza and other city
landmarks, such as the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora
de Guadalupe (the Church of Our Lady of
Guadalupe), Gringo Gulch, and the boardwalk, or malecon.
We move on to the southside, or our famous Romantic
Zone, as we call anything south of the Cuale
River, for a 25-minute shopping & bathroom
stop at an indigenous art store, where you will also receive
a free drink.
Leaving Vallarta, we continue south along the
Bay and up to the residential zone of Conchas
Chinas, and then we stop for a photo op to enjoy
the wonderful view overlooking Los Arcos and
the town of Mismaloya, famous for the filming
of “The Night of the Iguana” starring
Richard Burton. Here you an also
browse a selection of Mexican handicrafts.
Later, we’ll go into the subtropical foliage
and we’ll stop at a restaurant by the Mismaloya
river, where you’ll have time to swim
(season permitting) or enjoy an optional
hot-cooked meal at locally owned Casa del
Rio Restaurant.
We wind up our day with a visit to a Tequila
Factory, and some Tequila tasting!
