WHALE WATCHING TOURS
|
Puerto Vallarta is home to one of the world's
great creatures - the humpback whale.
From Mid-December through early April, these
waters are filled with magic, as the humpbacks
come here to calve. You may see baby humpbacks
- a glorious sight. You almost can't go on a
boat ride during these months without seeing
the whales breaching (jumping) near your boat.
While you don't always need to look for them,
these tours specialize in finding and getting
close to the whales. From April through December,
you can still see wild dolphins with our
Wild
Dolphins Adventure Tour - it's an excellent
trip.

Our Advice: With small kids, or for better visibility
in rough water, pick the Large Boat. To get closer to the
whales, you'll want the zodiac. Our Humpback Whales
are amazing.

PUERTO VALLARTA WHALE WATCHING
FAQ's
Q:
WHEN IS WHALE WATCHING SEASON
IN PUERTO VALLARTA?
A: Official whale watching
season is December 8th through March 23rd.
In the few weeks on either side, however, you can still see whales
in the bay on one of our Bay Cruises.
You just aren't allowed to get as close or to stay as long to watch.
The rest of the year, you can enjoy our
Wild Dolphins &
Snorkeling Tour, though - very fun.
Q:
DO I HAVE TO BOOK A WHALE WATCHING TOUR
TO SEE WHALES?
A:
No, on any of our great boat trips during high
whale season it is likely that you may see whales. These tours,
however, go specifically out to look for whales, and are specially
certified to get within 100 feet of the whales, while the other
tours primarily happen to see whales along their way to a destination.
Q:
ARE YOUR BOATS LICENSED FOR WHALE WATCHING?
A: Yes, all our boats
are fully licensed for whale watching by the
Mexican Government. We follow all whale watching rules of
conduct, and follow the guidelines set forth for responsible whale
watching. We care deeply about the safety and protection of
Puerto Vallarta's amazing humpback whales and dolphins.
