Journey North of Puerto Vallarta, along the scenic North coast of Banderas Bay, enjoying panoramic views as we make our way toward San Blas, about 60 miles (100 km) up the beautiful coastline, passing quaint farming and fishing villages along the way. Our first stop is La Contaduria, a historical site where battles were fought to protect the port of San Blas, and see the famous Temple of the Virgin Rosario. We'll arrive at the famous river, La Tovara, where we'll board a boat and take an amazing 10-mile (16 km) boat ride through this magical mangroved-lined ecosystem. We'll visit the region's only Crocodile Reserve, where you'll learn about these amazing creatures, and watch for a dazzling array of wildlife, such as exotic birds, tropical fish, and more as your expert guide fills your trip with amazing facts about what you're seeing. There are a variety of fresh seafood restaurants and others serving local Mexican cuisine where we can stop for lunch (not included), and photo opportunities abound in this special area of San Blas! Cruise Passengers: This tour makes a great shore excursion if your ship's schedule allows. It might be too long for some cruise ship schedules. Runs: Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00 AM.
