Want to try scuba diving, but have never done it or been certified? This is the activity for you! With our PADI Discover Scuba Diving Class, you can try scuba diving for the very first time! Your expert PADI instructor will teach you all the basic skills you need, including how to breathe underwater and go scuba diving to a depth of 40 feet. Your safety is our priority, so there will be a PADI divemaster in the water with you at all times.

You'll begin with about 90 minutes with a certified instructor, learning the essential skills of scuba diving in our private pool. Once you're comfortable, you're welcome to continue practicing in the pool; or, if you're excited to explore the ocean, you can choose to book a separate Open-water Dive at Los Arcos National Marine Park, one of Puerto Vallarta's most beautiful and beginner-friendly sites. It's the perfect, low-commitment way to try scuba for the first time. 

After this activity, if you like scuba diving (and we're sure you will), you can continue to credit this class toward your Open Water Certification - you will already be halfway towards being certified to scuba dive anywhere in the world.

Cruise Passengers: This tour accepts Cruise Ship Passengers only if the time works with your cruise ship schedule. You must arrive to Playa Mismaloya on your own.If you're in doubt, Ask us.

Runs: Daily in the morning from January 16th to November 30th and in the afternoon from December 1st to January 15th. Exact start time will be shown on your confirmation.

Duration:4 Hours Approximately.

RESTRICTIONS

1) No alcohol before diving
2) No hangovers
3) No flying for at least 24 hours after diving
4) All participants are required to fill out a Medical Questionnaire prior to diving. If you will answer yes to any of the listed items, you will need to bring a note from your doctor clearing you to scuba dive. This is a standard PADI form used by all PADI dive shops worldwide. Please review it prior to booking to determine if you will need to visit your doctor prior to your trip.

Continue Diving: Open Water Certification or Dive at Los Arcos, Marietas Islands or Majahuitas.

Had a great time on our Outdoor Adventure! The crew that took us over on the speed boat was friendly and they stopped to point out whales for us on the way over, even though whale watching was not part of our adventure. The crew for ziplining and repelling was energetic and friendly; we felt safe the entire time. The only disappointing part was when the speed boat ran out of gas on the way back to the PV cruise port at the end of the day and we had to sit at sea to wait for another boat to come rescue us.

I actually did not end up going on a tour with PV Tours bc my daughter got strep and we had to cancel. However, Sandra and Johann worked with me to get my tour refunded. Still waiting on the provider to refund. I would book with them again rather than Vallarta Adventures which was a disaster.

It was a great beginner scuba diving tour. The customer service was able to make sure the tour would accommidate our ship's arrival time, which they did. We had a great time and the trip was realy fun and smooth.

This was an excellent tour! Erik was a fantastic instructor for us (1 experienced, 1 new diver) — super patient, good humor, and clear in his English instruction (he also speaks spanish, though). The fact that it was a 2-tank dive made it special. For a similar price to other tours, we got to go underwater twice, in different spots. The sandwich lunch was a nice touch. The boat was small (no bathroom, max capacity about 10-12 ppl) but that did not bother us. The sandwich lunch was a nice touch. We had exceptional dives and saw: a reef shark, rays, turtles, eels, an octopus, urchins, and boatloads of fish. (And breaching whales from the boat!) It was beautiful!!
