SAN BLAS BIRDING TOUR
Take an
exotic journey to the quiet fishing village of
San Blas, about 3.5 hours north of Puerto
Vallarta, to perhaps the most popular
birdwatching destination in all of Mexico.
In this relatively small area, we can find over
300 different bird species and at least 25 that
are endemic only to this area.
We will
explore the seemingly endless wetlands,
estuaries and mangrove lagoons, seeing such
species as the Rufous-Bellied Chachalaca,
Lilac-Crowned Parrot, and Elegant Trogon.
The highlight of this trip is a jungle boat tour
through the beautiful La Tovara wildlife refuge,
where such species as Purple Gallinules,
Bare-Throated Tiger Herons, and the impressive
Boat-billed Heron call home.
Runs: Daily at 6:30
