DEVIL'S CANYON
Below the surface, at the
protected marine preserve of Los Arcos,
there exists a massive wall, extending
nearly 2,000 feet (600m) into the depths of
Banderas Bay. This wall is so huge
that it has earned the name "Devil's
Canyon". This is an amazing site that
will require advanced buoyancy skills.
We'll drop to the recreational dive limits
on this deep dive to give you an incredible
overview of the wall. Look for sea
turtles, giant manta rays, huge green moray
eels, and of course schools of brightly
colored tropical fish.
This dive departs from
Mismaloya to minimize the boat ride
necessary to get to Los Arcos. After
your dive, visit one of the beach
restaurants for lunch or a drink while you
tell about your experience. Combine
this site with any of the other Mismaloya
dives to create your own 2-tank dive!
