eco-adventure, a beach break, and a great day of fishing,
all rolled into one.

BASS FISHING ISLAND
This tour is unlike any other in Puerto
Vallarta. It is the fun and excitement of great bass
fishing, but it is so much more. Take a journey about
100 km south of Puerto Vallarta to the scenic wonderland of
the Costalegre, where you'll discover the hidden
paradise of Presa Cajon de Pena, perhaps the most
pristine and beautiful lake in all of Mexico. You'll
spend the day surrounded by the towering peaks of the Sierra
Madre mountain range, nestled snugly inside of the lush
tropical jungle - a true paradise.
As we arrive, we'll board small boats and
make our way to a beautiful private island, where we'll
enjoy lounging in hammocks, taking photographs, and tasting
gourmet hors d'oeuvres to get us ready for the day's
fishing. Lake Cajon de Pena is home to the best bass
fishing in the entire Puerto Vallarta Jalisco area.
Here you'll find hungry Florida Large Mouth Bass and Black
Bass that grow up to 6 kg (13 lbs), the perfect size to put
up a great fight, and taste delicious on the grill afterward
for lunch.
This day is also great for birdwatching -
Lake Cajon de Pena is home to over 150 different species of
birds, as well as many species of wild animals, petroglyphs,
waterfalls, and rock-walled ancient villages. After
fishing for approximately 7 hours, we'll return to the island, where you can swim and
kayak while your guides cook up the day's catch for a fresh
fish and lobster feast!
